The cold room and the patio that goes quiet in October
Plenty of Yakima houses have a room the furnace never quite warms. Others have a wood fireplace nobody has lit in years, or a patio that works for four months and sits empty the rest of the year. A gas fireplace or a fire pit fixes those without a woodpile.
Flip a switch and there is a flame. No ash, no chimney sweep, no hauling logs, and a heat source in the exact spot where the house runs cold. Outside, a fire pit pulls people onto the patio on a November evening.

A fireplace is only as good as the gas behind it. The same crew that sets the unit runs the line to it, so nobody is waiting on a second company: Fire Pits, a BBQ Outlet (Stub) for the grill, or a new line to a hearth in a remodeled room. If the house needs a longer or underground run, that is our gas piping work.

Chapter 03
Before the season: ignitor, flame sensor, gas pressure
A gas appliance that sat all summer needs a look before the first cold snap. We check the ignitor, the flame sensor and the gas pressure, the same items on our furnace maintenance list, because they are the parts that decide whether the flame lights and stays lit.
Know the signs of gas trouble too: a hissing sound, a rotten egg smell, rust on a fitting. The gas piping page lists them all, and a rotten egg smell means leave the house and call the gas utility first. Cydni schedules service visits Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.
