When the AC quits before the hot weekend
The valley does not ease into summer. Having the right air conditioning unit can mean the difference between relaxing in comfort and being miserable in the extreme heat Central Washington summers can bring us, and the failures tend to land on the hottest weekend of the year.

Other signs that an air conditioner needs a look are a unit that short cycles, turning on and off too often, a loud squeal when the fan starts, or a thermostat that will not respond.

Choosing a unit for a Yakima summer

Heat pumps do the cooling in summer and the heating in winter, which is why they sit on both sides of our year. Where ducts do not exist or do not reach, a ductless mini-split cools one room or one zone with an indoor head and an outdoor compressor, and no ductwork at all.
Chapter 03
Repair first, then replace, and keep it tuned
We repair units from any manufacturer, and if we find yours needs to be replaced, your service call is on us. If replacement is the answer, financing runs through Wells Fargo and Synchrony, subject to credit approval, with no down payment required.
An AC Tune-Up before the first hot week catches the weak capacitor and the dirty coil while it is cheap. The HVAC maintenance plan is $14/month, semi-annual or annual, and we call you to schedule. We also offer a 10% discount to Seniors, Military, First Responders, and Emergency Medical Personnel.
krissy slick was already working with us on rebates for a new system. Pacific Power and Benton REA are our utility partners, and Chelan County PUD runs its own program, so ask the utility for current amounts.
